An ode to luxury, comfort and fabulous shoes

Now that summer is officially here it’s time to share some fashion magic.  It’s becoming more and more apparent that my once strong interest in fashion has finally returned.  I’m talking circa 1997 when I was obsessed with The Beatles and my bedroom wall was plastered with Kate Moss, Shalom Harlow, Amber Valetta, Gucci, Armani + Miu Miu and Jil Sander ads I didn’t quite understand.

It looked a lot like this:

Fast forward and lately there are entire days when all I think about is chiffon maxi skirts and Jeffrey Campbell platforms.

So as an ode to some of my favorite wearables, here is my over-the-top-, if-only-I-could-afford-it-all, ‘Perfect Summer Wardrobe’ with my own casual spin on it.  Because no matter how fancy the heels, v-necks will always be a must in my book.

Feel free to buy any of these items for my upcoming birthday :)

Are there any particular items you’d love to spend all summer in?

Song of the Week: Here Comes The Sun

I pondered this week's song all day yesterday, with nothing feeling quite right.

Finally, after far too many McDonald's commericals, Pandora hit me with some George Harrison.

This is extra perfect because Spring in Salt Lake is as misleading as ever. . .sun one day, snow the next, and it's easy to wonder if winter will ever really pass.

But it will.

Little darling, it's been a long cold lonely winter
Little darling, it feels like years since it's been here
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
and I say it's all right
It's all right. . .

in honor of. . .

October 9th is a special day for the world, as it is the great John Lennon's day of birth.  Maybe it's because I've been a Beatles nerd for as long as I can remember, but the man humbles me, and his methods move me.  It really is unfortunate that he isn't around today.

Hats off to a visionary.

He didn't write this song of course, but I love the video.
